In my neighbourhood a lady ran away with her male friend and stay in a hotel for 10-12 days and then her husband retrieved her and take home, please clarify that their nikah is still valid or not as it is not sure that she made sexual relations with her friend or not. The lady told that she did intercourse with friend but her friend declined to do that. Please clarify in detail if: (1) She did it or (2) she is lying. In case the nikah is invalid then is it necessary to tell talaq, talaq, talaq or not?

If the husband has not given talaq to his wife then the nikah is still intact. Their nikah did not come to an end if she ran away with her friend though her friend established a physical contact with her.
Note: It is not necessary for the husband to give talaq to such a woman. If she does true taubah then the husband may keep her. [D]
