We had some old clothes and we wanted to give away those clothes for free to a shop, where second hand clothes are sold; instead we have donated those clothes to Salvation Army. As far as we know Salvation Army will sell those clothes and they will utilize part of the money for Christian Missionary purpose. Will we be sinful for donating? In future if we face same scenario, what we should do. Looking forward to hearing from you.

It should be given to the poor Muslims. You may give nafl sadaqah to poor non-Muslims as well.
