I am a govt employee. We receive salary through savings bank for which the bank gives interest from time to time. Now the question is that can we spend the interest amount on the toilets to be made for our own use.

The bank interest received by bank may not be used for construction of personal toilet or that of a mosque or madrasa. Such an amount should be distributed in the poor, needy and debt-ridden ones without an intention of reward.
