Can we give interest money to help a needy person rebuild his damaged house?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Whenever my bank pays interest in my A/c, I transfer it to another a/c which I have opened with the intention of segregating the interest money received in my other accounts. 1. Can I use this interest money to help a needy person related to me (without intention for reward) who asked me for financial assistance to rebuild his house damaged due to rain? The house is owned by his father. The person who requested me is not employed anywhere and does not have a regular source of income. 2. If it is allowed to use the money to help him, do I need to tell him that it is Interest money?

Yes, you can give that money to any acquainted poor and needy one without an intention of reward. It is not necessary to inform him that it was interest money.
