Is it permissible to exchange Salam while eating food according to Islam?

Is it permitted in Islam to take and give salam during eating food? Would you kindly inform me?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 1492/1152/B=11/1434)

We should not greet one who is busy eating. It is not wajib on the person who is eating to answer the salam.
