Is it permissible to use emoji’s which contain eyes while messaging?
Answer:
Although the emojis used nowadays is not the real face of a human being, we discourage the usage of such emojis due to a number of evils.
Many of these emojis are used for impermissible reasons such as ill-licit relationships, flirting, etc. How many impermissible relations are perhaps initiated by sending a single emoji!
The vast majority of our children are growing up playing with various devices and thereby utilizing these emojis all the time. Similarly, they watch their seniors doing the same. In their simple and innocent minds they consider it no harm in forwarding faces with various expressions. The natural consequence and result of this is that they could grow up with the mindset that photography, cartoons, etc. is all permitted.
These are some of the harms that we have listed. There are perhaps many other harms which we are not even aware of as yet hence we advise abstention.
