Q: If a wound will be aggravated by water, then masah (wiping) over a bandage is permissible. The doctor wants to know that some wounds won’t be aggravated by water, but it will slow the healing process, eg: if patient does masah, it will heal in about 2 weeks, but if he washes it, it will take 3 to 4 weeks to heal. Can patient make Masah?
A: In the circumstances of delayed healing, masah over the bandage will be permissible.
