Hajj and Debts

Q: 1. If a person has money and all means to perform Hajj and he went to Hajj and performed it too but he has to pay his debts too which he didn’t pay before hajj; is his hajj valid or not?
2. Is Hajj obligatory on a person who has means of Hajj but he has to pay debts? Must he pay the debts before leaving for Hajj?

A: The correct thing is to settle ones debts first but if despite not setteling ones debts one proceeds to performe haj the haj will be valid.
