Is it permissible to make money by posting advertising links on http://www.telexfree.com/?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by AskOurImam.com

Asslamu Alaikum Mufti Saheb,

With reference to Fatwa #28134, wherein you have asked me to write in details:

There is one website http://www.telexfree.com/ for which I have to register or you can say I have to purchase one account to access the website which will cost me US$ 399. After that I have to post one advertisement link daily on this above mentioned website. I mean I have to copy one advertisement link daily from http://www.ezpost.net/ and post the same in http://www.telexfree.com/. Now for this advertise posting I will be getting us$ 20 weekly. That means on the end of the every seventh day the amount us$ 20 will be credited to my account t and if I miss to post the advertisement link a single day on a particular week then I will not get us$ 20 for that particular week.

Apart from above there is also grouping system which is optional if you wish you can do otherwise no need. In this grouping system you need to join new member to this work for which you will be paid accordingly. By the way I am not interested in doing this group system. I just want to do advertisement link posting job only if it is allowed to do so in Islam.

The above amount of US$ 399 which I will pay in the beginning is for one year contract only. If I wish to continue my account after one year then I need to pay US20% of my profit of the whole year + US$399. If not then I can purchase new account again and start afresh

I forgot to mention above that this company is located in Brazil.

Awaiting your reply.

JazakAllah Khair

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

We have researched the company in question and have found that it is being legally scrutinised and investigated for fraud and accused of creating a ponzi scheme.[1] Before acquiring the Sharia compliancy of becoming involved into such a company, it may be in your interest to first enquire why the company is being investigated and, furthermore, what is required from you to advertise.
