Durood e Taj and Tunjjina

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

1) I want to know if it is permissible to recite Durood E Tunajjina and Durood E Taj.

2) What are the benefits of reciting the wazifa “Bismillah hir Rahman Nir Raheem” 1000 times daily. Is it true that it is known as the King of all Wazifas?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

  1. The best form of durood (duas and salutations) upon Rasulullah Sallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam are those that are recommended by Rasulullah Sallahu Alahy Wa Sallam himself. There are many compilations of such duroods. For example Salat and Salam by Hazrat Shaykh Zakariyya Rahimatullah Alayh. The link to these duroods are mentioned in the footnotes[1]

Durood e tunjjina and Durood e Taj with their virtues are not authentic[2][3].

In fact some words of Durood e Taj are highly doubtful[4].

  1. We could not find actual reference for reciting such wazifa.

The fazilat and rewards are connected to the words of the Ahadith. In other words, for one to attain special rewards (just as mentioned in the Ahadith) one would need to recite the specific words from the Ahadith.

Same reference as footnote #1 in pg. 502 mentions “there’s a difference between fazilat and thawab. To recite a durood which has no sanad to it does not hold any fazilat. Rather it holds thawaab on the condition that one recites Salat and Salam on Nabi SAW”.

Although there are words which resemble to shirk words, in fatwa faridiyya V1 Pg.347 Darul uloom Sadiqiyya mentions another meaning in which a person can have in regards to this durood and that is if a person is making dua to allah with the wasilah of Nabi SAW. This type of belief will be valid and thus one can recite this durood. But because of the fear of people having the wrong belief it is better to not read it at all.
