Is it permissible to donate blood to one’s wife?

Can husband donate blood to his wife?  In other words can husbands blood be transfused to wife?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Blood transfusion is permissible between the husband and wife.[1]
