Is it permissible to read nafl salah on behalf of one’s deceased father? what are some other acts one can do on behalf of his deceased parent?

I would like to inquire the following: Is it permissible to read nafl salah on behalf of one’s deceased father? So that the father may recieve that reward/blessing.

Also, what are some other acts one can do on behalf of his deceased parent?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to transfer the reward of nafl ŝalāh to one’s deceased father.[1]

The following are a few examples of actions the reward of which may be transferred to his/her father:[2]

1. Ŝalāh
2. Fasting
3. Charity
4. Recitation of Qurān
5. Dhikr
6. Ĥajj
7. Udĥiyyah (sacrificing)
