Post nasal dripping during Fast.

I have a question re: post nasal drip.  In Ramadaan I suffer more frequently with post nasal drip.  I do take anti-histamines at Sehri but during the day I feel stuff dripping down the throat to which I don’t necessarily have access to in terms of coughing it out.  I try my best to get some out by coughing but it is difficult most of the time to expel as it merely goes down the throat.  What happens to my fast, I am very concerned. The consistency of this nasal drip is mainly saliva.

Answer

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

In principle mucus from nasal passage does not break one’s fast. Since post-nasal dripping is essentially nasal mucus triggered by some allergy, it will not break one’s fast.[1]
