There is a bank which gives money as a gift to me once I open account with them, is that money permissible to use?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

There is a bank which is giving me gift money if I open an account.

My question is:

1.      Can I use that gift money?

2.      If I can’t then can I give that money to someone else with an intention of helping that person?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.

It is permissible for one to use the gifted money given by the bank.
