Can I walk down the aisle?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

AA,

I have a question about marrying a non-Muslim who will then convert (before the marriage takes place).

I was wondering if it is permissible (as in, not haram) to do “walking down the aisle” thing along with nikkah and a reception. It wouldn’t occur in a church or involve a priest or anything like that (i am not sure who it would involve, if it is allowed, i would appreciate guidance).

Thank you and any help is appreciated

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is not permissible to “walk down the aisle” with a women as this is a salient feature in the weddings of disbelievers. In addition to this it also an act bereft of shame and modesty. A Muslim man tries to protect and conceal his wife, not publicly display her so all can see.
