Insha-Allah. I have few questions, My mother says that reading Surah Ikhlaas 3 times a day is equivalent to reading a whole Quran, is that true, she says its mentioned in a Hadith Book ” Hasne-Haseen” , and she has been hearing this since her childhood days. My next question is from my mother and she would like to know if Souls from heaven come down to earth on Laylatul Qadr and on Hajj? Jazakallah.

Answer

At the outset we apologise for not sending the appropraite answer to your question. It is possible that due to the large volume of queries we handle, there was an error from our computer department. It is our policy to respond to queries within three days. We do not respond to queries sent on saturdays and sundays. It is posible that you have submitted them on these days thus there were not answered .

Rasulullah (Salalaahu Alayhi Wasalam) is reported to have said that Surah Ikhlaas is equivellent to one third of the Quraan (Tirmizi). Therefore if one recites this sura thrice, it is as though he/she has recited the entire Quraan.

We have not come accross any proof that indicates towards the souls coming down on the occasion of Qadr and Hajj.

and Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
