I would like to know if I am allowed to play video games if mute my TV so no music is heard. I know these games have animate object, but what about animate object that are not real, (monsters, etc.) like Pokemon games.

Answer:
Playing of such video games is prohibited as it is a waste of time and money. Islam does not accommodate such futile games of amusement.
