Is there a Hadith that describes the person who will first fight the Dajal.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I have heard that there will be a man who will be one of the most, or most pious durring the arrival of dajal and that this man will fight Dajal outside of Makkah or Madinah. I was wondering if there is a hadith or something reliable that describes the situation thoroughly. Something that might describe the person; physically, name, nationality, disabilaties the person might have or had, or had or some unique quality the person has (ect)… Jazakallah for your very valueable time and please remember me in your duas— Ismail

Answer

This narration is recorded in Sahih Bukhari (vol.2 pg.402), but there is no specific description of this person in the Hadith itself.

However, Imaam Abu Ishaaq Ibraahim ibn Sufyaan (student of Imaam Muslim) has mentioned that this person will be Khidhr (alayhis salaam). (ibid). This view has also been reported from Imaam Ma?ammar ibn Raashid.
