Uncertainty regarding divorce.

URGENT AssalamoAlaikum I asked these questions 2 weeks ago and still waiting for reply. I am posting my question again here. A wife has lots of waswasas and having bad thoughts without intention which is causing lots of stress. 1. If a wife thinks in mind that if her husband says yes to general question asked which is not related to divorce will constitute divorce. Note that husband has no ideas of thoughts in wife’s mind and never said directly or indirectly words relating to divorce. Its just wife’s waswasas which she denies in mind. 2. Does researching about divorce relating matters cause divorce. JazakAllah khair

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

The above situations do not constitute Talāq.

One should ignore any sort of imaginary whisperings (waswasaa) as it is from the devil. Do not pay attention to it. Instead, think positively as Allah has not made marriage a relationship of doubt and misery. Rather, Allah has made marriage a relationship of love and understanding.

Make it a habit to recite,

أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر ما خلق

(I seek refuge with the Perfect Words of Allah from the evil of what He has created)

لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّه 

(There is no power and no strength except with Allah).

Alternatively, it would be advisable for you to consult with your doctor and take appropriate medication as it has been proven to be successful in solving many such cases.

وعن أبي الليث لا يجوز طلاق الموسوس يعني المغلوب في عقله عن الحاكم هو المصاب في عقله إذا تكلم تكلم بغير نظام
