Is it permissible to watch programs on TV relating to nature with the intention of contemplating and marvelling at the creation of Allah. This includes pictures of animals etc.
Answer:
1. It is impermissible to watch pictures of animate objects on television even if the intention is to ponder over the creation of Allah.
2. A prohibition remains a prohibition even if there is apparent benefit in it.
