May Allah give Shiekh barakah in your life. I’m from Malaysia. Now in Malaysia, the big issue is when one popular ustadhh said that Rasol saw never said Umaiti….Umati…..umati in the last word before he dead?
Is this true? He said, this is riwayah from Shiah
And another word that told us,We cant call Ali Karamallahu wajjah, because this is also from shiah.
I hope you can give explaination because, this’s big issue in my country.
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is proven through authentic narrations that the last statement uttered by Rasulullah (Sallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) was,
اللهم بالرفيق الأعلى
“O Allaah! (With) the highest companion”.
There is a narration that states that the following statement was from among the final words of Rasulullah (Sallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam),
الصلاةَ الصلاةَ، اتقوا الله فيما ملكت أيمانكم
“(Be punctual on) Salāt (Be punctual on) Salāt and fear Allah regarding those whom your right hands own (slaves)”.
Scholars have reconciled between the two narrations saying that the first narration was the final statement uttered in general and the second narration was the final statement made to the Sahābah.[1] As for the narration you refer to, we have not come across such a narration. However, there are narration that mention that Rasulullah will say Ummati Ummati on the day of Qiyāmah.[2]
Mawlāna Rashīd Ahmad Gangohī has mentioned that the Khawārij used to say regarding ‘Ali Radhiallahu ‘Anhu, “May Allah blacken his face (Sawwadallahū Wajhahū)” so the Ahlus Sunnah Wa al-Jamā’ah began saying “May Allah honor his face (Karram Allahu Wajhahū).[3] Moreover, many scholars of the Ahlus Sunnah Wa al-Jamā’ah have used this term for ‘Ali Radhiallahu ‘Anhu.[4] Therefore, to claim that this is from the Shia is incorrect.
