Q: What do we do with all the baby grows and clothes that have been given as gifts etc? Can we give them to charity or must they be destroyed? Since its difficult to buy Sunnah babies clothes, I’m having to get them tailor made. Is it sinful to wear non-Sunnah clothes in the meantime? Also should I inform all the people who gave all these gifts that they should’nt give such clothes as they will probably say its a bit extreme to dress new borns in Sunnah clothes?

Bismillaah

A: It is better to destroy them.

It is permissible to wear clothing that is not fashionable, stylish or that has got any haraam, like pictures on them etc.

Don’t stress in these matters. Do what you see to be right and don’t pay attention to what people have to say.

And Allah Ta`ala knows best.
