Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

From all jewelry, men are only allowed to wear rings which are made from genuine silver. Then too, the total weight of silver should not be more than 4.37 gram. This amount has been established from the following narration:

Gold and plated rings are not permissible.

Besides rings, it is not permissible for males to wear any chains, necklaces, earrings etc. The basis of this ruling is the following narration:

As far as watches are concerned, men are permitted to wear them because of the necessity of telling time. However the watch casing should not be made of gold or silver. If the casing is made of any other metal such as iron or steel, it will be in order. If the casing is made of steel or other metal, but it is electroplated with gold, then, provided that the gold content is not more than 11 carats, it would be PERMISSIBLE to wear but BETTER to abstain.
