My younger brother got engaged (mangani ceremony) with a girl whose family follows Shafai Fiqh while our family follows Hanafi Fiqh. What are basic differences between the two? Shall we go for that marriage or not?

The marriage of a Hanafi boy is lawful with the girl of Shafi’i maslak. Both the maslaks are correct. You can learn the basic differences from any local Alim or Mufti. However, as far as the matter of marriage is concerned, you can decide what is better for you.
