Income of a person who cheated in the exams to get a certificate

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Main thing is I need to do what is required in my job and earn money. What if I cheat during my studying career and gain a certificate. Is it haram?

What if I cheat and gain marks and get qualifications and at last get a job. I am able to do what the job requires but I got the job through a haram way (cheating in exams).

Bismillaah

A: If you are doing the job right then your earning is not haraam. Make taubah for cheating.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
