Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

I would like to know if it is permissible according to the Qurān and Sunnāh to perform all the Salāhs audibly, so that my daughters are able to learn and recite with me.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

If you are praying individually inside your home, there are certain Salāhs in which it is permissible for you to recite audibly and certain Salāhs in which it is not permissible to recite audibly:

1.      Fard Salāhs:

a)   Those Salāhs in which the Qirā’h (recitation) is performed silently i.e. Zuhr and Asr, the recitation must be done silently.

b)   Those Salāhs in which the recitation is performed audibly, you have the option of performing those Salāhs audibly or silently.[1]

2.      Nafl Salāhs:

a)     If the Nafl Salāhs are performed during the day, the recitation must be done silently.

b)    If the Nafl Salāhs are performed during the night (from the time after Salātul Maghrib until sunrise), you have the option of performing them audibly or silently.[2]

Furthermore, the recitation in Salāh should not be recited in such a way as if you are teaching it to someone i.e. your children. Instead, it should be performed normally.
