Trimming Sideburns

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askmufti.co.za

Q: Can the sideburns of a beard be trimmed? I have heard/read that we can trim them, but I’m not sure which exact part of the sideburns can be trimmed? The ones that start one inch below-and-parallel to the ear or that start at the slight protruding bone parallel to the eye?

A: Hair above the cheekbone, the one that is parallel to the eye can be trimmed.
