Can Ghusl be Considered Wudu for Prayers?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Qibla.com

Answered by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani

Can ghusl be considered wudu for prayer? If I did ghusl and then immediately pray without doing  a separate wudu, is that okay?

Answer:
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Walaikum assalam,

Ghusl is major purity, and it ‘contains’ the minor purity of wudu. As such, when you do ghusl, you are on wudu, too.

And Allah alone gives success.

Walaikum assalam,
Faraz Rabbani.
