Question:

A masjid or centre is being registered as a corporation. Will the properties they buy, be waqf? Someone was interested in donating but wasn’t sure if it was rewardable and or waqf.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Endowment (Waqf) depends on whether the organization would like to give those properties as waqf and do not use it for personal gain or for selling it at a later period [1], the Masjid being registered does not affect the Waqf of the properties they buy and you can donate to them and inform them of your intention to donate to a waqf property.
