Question
After reading something online I have developed Waswasa in every act of life. Upon waking up I fear having a wet dream but cannot know the wetness whether it’s sweat or otherwise. One of the websites states that a woman could stimulate herself by washing back to front, which is also a cause of fear. Please help.

I pray you are well.
There’s nothing to worry about. Upon waking assume that there has not been a wet dream – unless you see a lot of discharge. Merely seeing a dream does not mean anything if there is no discharge.
The discharge after a wet dream is likely to be much more than sweat or any other normal discharge. Therefore, assume that there has not been any unless there is no question of it.
Carry on washing normally as you used to before reading the article. If you never stimulated yourself in the past like that then it’s fine. [Tahtawi, Hashiya Maraqi al-Falah]

After graduating with a degree in English and History he moved to Damascus in 2007 where, for 18 months, he studied with many erudite scholars.
