Must Muslim women wear jewelry? If husband dies, remove?

As per the Islamic law is it compulsory for the Muslim women to wear bangles, ear rings, nose rings and secondly if her husband dies should she stop wearing the above things ?

Answer

(Fatwa: 335/335/M=1432)

(1) It is allowed for women to wear bangles, earrings, nose rings and other jewelleries.
(2) If any woman’s husband dies, she should not wear jewellery and makeup, and give up scent, henna and other items of beautification until her iddah is over.
