I wanted to know whether it is necessary to do Fajr salah with jamah, to do imamah or be imam for any prayer during that day?

Answer

(Fatwa: 358/145/L=1433)

It is sunnah muakkidah to offer salah with jamah. Hence one should maintain it necessarily. However, doing imamah or being Imam for any salah is not necessary, except if there is none who can become Imam in your mosque.
