I was working big company in security department for 6 yrs i was clean shaved, Allah S.W.T gave me hidayat and i kept beard my company refused it. I left the job and joined a small company at half salary. After some time there was financial problem with the company and company was closing down. I searched for job and after several interview got an offer with condition to remove beard. I dont know what to do. I consulted some mufti and he gave very weak permission to remove beard with a condition to search for another job soon and leave this job and again keep beard. Kindly guide me.

It is not lawful to cut beard for the sake of employment in any case. It is wajib to grow beard as well as it is one the signs of Islam i.e. the identity of Muslims. A communality that withdraws from its sign it shall disappear. Setting such a condition from the company is based on prejudice. The Sikhs too work in companies and the companies do not ask them to cut the beard. They are seen working in each department with beard and turban.
