Making a mistake in recitation during taraweeh

By Mufti Shafiq Jakhura (Darul Ihsan)

Q.) If a hafiz made a major mistake in reciting the Holy Qur’an in taraweeh which changes the meaning of word or words, do we have to repeat those rakats or not?

A.) If the meaning of the verses had changed dramatically and they were not corrected immediately in the salah, the congregation should be advised to repeat those rakats individually.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
