Q. What is the ruling on giving tips to Uber drivers?
A. Usually, tips given to an Uber driver or when ordering a service online are not considered to be part of a transaction nor are they considered a condition for the validity of a transaction.
Tips given to Uber drivers are simply considered a gift (Hibah) which is commendable but not necessary to do so.
