Difference between manzils

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Fatwaa.com

Salaam Mufti Sahab,

Hope you are doing well.

My question is about the difference between following two manzils and their FAZAAILS:
1- Manzil mentioned in book “Momin ka hathyaar” by Maulana Muhammad Yunus Sb.
2- Seven Manzils mentioned in book “Munajaat-e-Maqbool” by Hakeemul Ummat Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (R.A.)

Recently I started reciting Manzil mentioned in book “Momin ka hathyaar”. But then I found the book “Munajaat-e-Maqbool”. Now I’m wondering which manzil book should I follow/recite in my daily muammilaat?

Looking forward to your kind response.

Jazakallahukhair.

Answer

Wa’alaykum as Salam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

The Manzil is a very small selection of verses which specially has been chosen to protect a person from witch craft, sorcery, evil eye and jealousy. The Munaajaat has many more Duas chosen from Quran and Hadith, which encompasses every aspect of a persons Dunya (worldly life) and Akhirah (hereafter). The Munaajaat has many Duas which the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) used to make, and also contains alot of Duruds

Due to the great amount of jealousy in todays time, the best is to recite the Manzil every morning and evening, and to recite the selected daily portion of Munaajaat e Maqbool daily as well.

And Allaah Ta’aala knows best
