Fudayl’s ibn ‘Iyad (rahimahullah) statement regarding fear of Allah

Question:

Can you mention the source and Arabic text for this?

“Whoever fears Allah, no one will harm him, and whoever fears other than Allah, no one will benefit him.”

Answer:

Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration as the statement of Fudayl ibn ‘Iyad (rahimahullah).

Fudayl Ibn ‘Iyad (rahimahullah) said: “Whomsoever fears Allah, none will cause him harm and whomsoever fears [anyone] besides Allah, none will benefit him.”

Arabic text:

من خاف الله لم يضره أحد ومن خاف غير الله لم ينفعه أحد
