The names Iyad and Tashriq

Q: Kindly provide me the meaning of following name:

  1. Iyad
  2. Tashriq

I want a name for my baby boy. Which one wolud be better, kindly suggest:

  1. Iyad Ikhtiar/ Iyad Uddin
  2. Tashriq Ikhtiar/ Uddin.

A:

  1. It is not an Arabic name.
  2. Tashreeq can mean sunrise. It has other meanings as well.

We are not familiar with all these names. We prefer the names of the Ambiyaa (alaihimus salaam) and the pious of the past.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
