My one son has done his marriage on his own.. He didn’t ask me to attend nikah … Please guide me in the matter and on my decision.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta Deoband Waqf
Assalamualaikum,
My one son has done his marriage on his own.. He didn’t ask me to attend nikah and barat. My mother is 92 years old has 4 sons living with me since year 1986. My all brothers use to meet mother 2 to 3 times in a year, though all live nearby to my house. In my son’s marriage my mother asked not to invite her one son who abused her. Ignoring me and my mother he invited him and told me that he will call him by ignoring us. Due to my wife his barat proceeded from my self owned house, he and his wife stayed in my house for 15 days. He is B.Tech and is in job in Dubai. He I have spent lakhs of rupee in his education.
Now I have decided to bedakhal him from all my property and not to let him enter in my house. Please guide me in the matter and on my decision.

In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most Merciful

The answer to your question is as follows:

Parents devote their life to upbringing their children, so it is duty of children to respect the emotions of their parents at any cost. However, whatever you possess in your lifetime is your own property and you have full right to do what and how you wish to do with your wealth. You have full right to give it to whom you like and don’t give whom you dislike, but evicting a child from property is not recommended and sometimes it is not considered to be legitimate in shariah.

And Allah knows best
