Khateeb critisizing scholars for Jummah.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Q. If one attends a Jumma Salaat and the khateeb is known for critisizing respected scholars or in fact starts doing such in his sermon, what does one do? Considering the fact that I very much begin to get disgusted by such comments and accusations and honestly wonder if the salaat is or would be accepted, do I leave and perform Zuhr Salaat somewhere else?

A. In the case mentioned above, it would not be permissible for you to leave and perform Zuhr Salaah somewhere else. Once you are present for the Juma Salaah, you must perform it.

In future, you should avoid going to such places for Juma Salaah, for certainly such actions of the Khateeb are indeed sinful.

And Allah knows best.
