As Salam Wa Alaikum,
Q:Can you please help me explain to a friend why it is not permissible to go to the cinema, especially during Ramadhan (even if she is not fasting due to her menses)?

Wa Alaikum Assalaam,
A: Going to the cinema is totally haram. All the past and present reliable scholars of Islam have given this Fatwa (verdict). Hence, whether one is fasting or not, it will not be permissible to go to the cinema.
