Question:

Assalamualaikum

My question is that my ex-wife took khulah through court in December 2017, which I accepted afterwards.

Can we get married again?

If there is fatwa on it please share.

Answer:

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh,

The husband and wife that have done khulah can get married again, as khulah is in fact one irrevocable divorce (talāq bā’in). This means that they can remarry, but the husband will only have two divorces remaining.[1]
