Is using tampons and Menstrual cups permissible?
Answer:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
It is Makrooh (undesirable) to use tampons, menstrual cups or anything else which is inserted into the internal part of the vagina (except for medical reasons). Furthermore using a tampon etc. may be medically harmful to one’s health and generally unhygienic.
During menstruation, a woman should use a sanitary pad or anything else that is used externally.
