Confused about irregular periods?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a woman got her haidh on the 10th of Feb and it ended on the 15th but it was not how she usually experiences her haidh. On the 12th day of her tuhur (28 of Feb), she began bleeding like her normal haidh. Which one will be considered as her haidh and what should she do?

Bismillaah

A: If there was a period of 15 clean days or more from the time her previous haiz ended, then she will regard this first bleeding as haiz. On the contrary, if the first bleeding commenced before 15 days from the termination of the last bleeding, she will regard the first bleeding as istihaazah and consider the second bleeding as her haiz.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
