Reciting one verse of Surah Qadr after performing sajdah tilaawah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Say I recite the whole of Surah Alaq in one rakaah of salah, after performing the sajda tilawah of the last verse and getting up, do I recite the whole of the next surah al-qadr or just the first ayah?

Bismillaah

A: Both are correct. It is not in keeping with adab to just recite one verse and then go into ruku. Read the entire surah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
