Eating “prasad” given by a non Muslim

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I ate the prasad given by my non Muslim friend. Even though I knew that I should not eat it. Now I am realising my sin (mistake). Can I be forgiven?

Bismillaah

A: Make taubah and promise never to touch this thing ever. Also promise Allah that you will not befriend a non Muslim. Keep a reasonable distance from them.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
