Is this advice of Jibril (‘alayhis salam) to Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) authentic?
“O Muhammad, live as you wish, for you will die. Work as you wish, for you will be repaid accordingly. Love whomever you wish, for you will be separated”

Imam Hakim (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration on the authority of Sayyiduna Sahl ibn Sa’d (radiyallahu ‘anhu). He has declared the Hadith authentic and Hafiz Dhahabi concurs.
