The grateful and patient ones are most beloved to Allah Ta’ala

Is this reliable?

Answer

Imam Ahmad (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration as the statement of the reliable Tabi’i,  Mutarrif ibn ‘Abdillah ibn Shikkhir (rahimahullah) with a reliable chain.

(Az Zuhd, Hadith: 1334)

Translation

The most beloved servants in the sight of Allah are those who are very grateful and patient. When they are tested the adopt patience and when they are bestowed [with a bounty] they are grateful

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
