‘O Abu Dharr, I love for you what I love for myself’

Is it correct that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) once told Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (radiyallahu ‘anhu) “I like for you what I like for myself”?

Answer

Yes. This is correct. Imam Muslim (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said this and then offered him some advices.

(Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1826)

And Allah Ta’ala Knows best.
