Answer

It is permissible for an Imam to recite a verse of Sajdah Tilāwah (the prostration of recitation) in Ṣalāh. It was the general practice of the Prophet ﷺ to recite Sūrah Sajdah (32) in Fajr Ṣalāh on Fridays (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, 891). The Sūrah includes a verse of Sajdah Tilāwah. Similarly, the Prophet ﷺ is reported to have recited Sūrah Inshiqāq (84) in ʿIshā Ṣalāh and performed Sajdah Tilāwah (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, 1078).
